What does it take to gain real freedom in business?
I’ve been thinking a lot about freedom lately – mostly about how to run a successful business and still have the flexibility to do other things I love. I know you want that too.
Why? Because otherwise you wouldn’t be here. You wouldn’t be telling me each and every day in person, via email, in your comments and in my feedback survey that you want more freedom.
WomanzWorld is just over a year old now and it’s only been in the last 6 months that I’ve really taken it up a notch here. The response and success has been amazing, but there’s still so much more to achieve. I pour my heart into this every day as I’m on a mission.
“I want women to court bolder dreams and turn them into reality. I want women to live the true lifestyle they deserve and have a successful business they can run from anywhere.”
I have learned so much over the last year about building a business, a thriving social media community, influence and spreading a message to the world. I’ve struggled and succeeded and tried and failed more times than I can remember.
There have been times (luckily few) where I’ve really wondered why I’m doing this day in and day out and then you send me an email telling me that I’ve helped you become more remarkable, to start a business, to grow your business, to dream bigger and go after it.
You asked. I listened.
What’s more you gave me the answers and have helped me shape the future of this blog and my movement. In a recent survey I asked what brought you to WomanzWorld, what you liked and what could be better. Read the revealing answers.
What I am truly interested in though is how I could really cut through all the noise out there and hone in on your key business challenges in a way that was most useful to you, that allowed you to take action.
One survey response really bought it home for me that writing about it and providing valuable content is not enough:
“I can tell you what keeps me up at night as a budding entrepreneur. I wonder and worry about making the right decisions regarding setting up the right structures for my business including legal structure (LLC, or sole proprietor, etc, insurance, taxes, book-keeping, being strategic about how to use social media, who to select as my mail marketing vendor, and basic questions about blogging. Even though I can probably find all this information on the web, I don’t have anyone to advise me and so I’m afraid to make wrong decisions. so what do I do? Absolutely nothing! I get into analysis paralysis.”

Don’t get me wrong I’m not talking about a jobby, I’m talking about a full on serious, money making business that you are driven and compelled to make successful but does not rule your life.
It’s not that you want to sit on a beach sipping Pina Coladas and doing nothing. It’s the freedom to be able to do that at any time you want.
I personally think we’d all get bored doing that for too long. I love to work on creative and rewarding projects. I want to continue to work on launching products and programs that you find valuable and help you take your business to the next level while providing freedom.
I just like to do that while on a plane, boat, train or from a park, lake or mountain chalet. I’m going to deliver that for you. Right now I’m furiously working on my biggest project yet.
