Dean Dwyer creatively sculpted his blog Make Shift Happen, by blowing up the current model for weight loss
(which is horribly flawed) and introduced a more progressive concept called Lean Thinking, which encourages people to take ownership for their bodies and begin to run it (their body) like one would run a successful start up business.

Dean needed a solution from his non-existent 6 pack abs and changed himself physically, after 25 years of struggling with his weight. His inspiration continued after his body transformation, and Dean wanted to help as many people as he possibly could. Through his journey of weight-loss, he focuses on changing your mindset before you can change your body.
Currently, Make Shift Happen has been in existence for just over 10 months and boasts 3300+ subscribers.
Dean is also the author of the book, MAKE SHI(f)T HAPPEN:: Change how you look by changing how you think. The book chronicles 20 shifts that people could (and should) adopt so they can begin to transform not only how they look, but how they live.
When he is not writing about shift, he is either consulting, speaking or devising new models that help people and small businesses MAKE SHI(f)T HAPPEN.
In this interview with Dean Dwyer you’ll learn:
- The number one way to stay unique in a growing and saturated blogging niche
- How he gets over 500 Facebook shares on his blog posts
- His lessons from mistakes of his two previous blogs
- How he successfully launched his first paid membership site after just 9 months of blogging
