As I’ve continued to grow my business and figure out this entrepreneurship thing, I often get asked by people who see what I’ve achieved this question: What got you started down the path of entrepreneurship?![[TSE 58] Advice You Wish You Had When You Started Out in Business with Natalie Sisson](/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/EP-58-Cover.jpg)
They ask me what advice I’d have appreciated in my early days of entrepreneurship and what I wish I’d known before I started out, but more importantly in those formative 12-18 months in business.
These are the most critical in terms of establishing a solid foundation, understanding the principles of marketing, sales, financials and what makes for good business.
More importantly, those are the moments when you learn your real limits and how much hustle is required to build something that matters.
So I decided to spill all in this solo episode with just me, and you, talking about the life of an entrepreneur.
What you’ll learn in this episode with Natalie Sisson:
- Why self-belief is where it’s at and only you are standing in your own way
- Why mentors are so important and how to find and approach them
- The power of a mastermind to propel your business into the Universe and how to form one
- That perfectionism is nothing short of procrastination and how to avoid both
- How to recognise your non superhero powers, build a team and avoid burnout

The key to a successful online business
Finding new customers in a cost effective manner is the quite frankly the key to any successful online business. The best way to do this is to allow your customers and community to promote your products and services for you.
You do this by creating an “affiliate program”, where you reward your partners and current customers for referring new business your way. That’s why I’m so excited to introduce my new Podcast Sponsor LeadDyno.
LeadDyno is a tool designed specifically for online entrepreneurs who are setting up a formal referral program. Here’s how it works:
- 1. When new affiliates sign up with you, they receive a unique referral link, so that they can send their friends and colleagues your way
- 2. When their referrals purchase your product, you provide them with a commission – which is automatically tracked, calculated, and paid by LeadDyno
The result is you get more business, without any up front cost.
The team at LeadDyno have kindly offered my listeners a free 14-day trial to start building your new affiliate program. Visit suitcaseentrepreneur.com/leaddyno now.
