I don’t talk about this topic a lot on the blog (and that’s going to change this month with the focus being on how to live and work from anywhere), but obviously, with the business I set up from the get go my aim was to be fully location independent.

I’m a long time Digital Nomad and yet to many people this term is a relatively new concept to them. Essentially it means living and working from anywhere using online tools, the Internet and your laptop and smartphone.

In my recent interview on 60 minutes New Zealand  I clearly stated that this type of lifestyle is not for everybody. It takes a certain type of person to be ok with managing change, having no base, isolation, being away from friends and family,  being on the move, and in a state of constant pack.

The pros though I think far outweigh the cons. And speaking at the recent DNX Digital Nomad Conference in Bangkok, I was thrilled to be surrounded by ‘my peeps’ who live and breathe this lifestyle.

And now, more than ever, with the tools and services available to entrepreneurs and travellers alike, the possibilities and opportunities are endless, and the freedom you can gain from living this way is amazing.

Here on the Suitcase Entrepreneur I show you how to take your existing skills and experiences and turn them into offerings that people will value, thereby monetizing yourself and creating a business that you can take on the road.

Remember, it may take a while to get there but it’s totally possible to achieve if you really, really want it.

In this podcast I am flipping the experience by sharing ME BEING interviewed by Lisa Cypers Kamen on the following:

  • My thoughts on the digital nomad lifestyle
  • How experiences provide more social value than material
  • Why we derive more enduring happiness from experiences than the material
  • What is a digital nomad?
  • How to run your business from anywhere in the world and live your dream lifestyle
