You wouldn’t believe the number of people who have asked me how I decide what content to create and also how I manage to schedule it all while on the road.
They want to know what made me do this video, how did I choose that guest on my podcast, and why did I pick XYZ to write a blog post on.
The answer is simple; I follow my content editorial calendar. But here’s a little secret, I wasn’t always so organized.
I used to just create content on the fly or when I was inspired, but this method actually was quite stressful and meant I was often doing stuff last minute, or finishing and post just in time. Which generally meant the quality wasn’t as good as it could have been. And I felt a lack of control of my own blog.
I wanted to be more organized, better prepared and smarter about how I went about creating epic content, so with the help of my Online Freedom Manager I created a full year content editorial campaign.
Together we came up with a calendar that coordinated the material going into my podcast, videos and blog posts. It also helped me plan out my full year of launches, workshops and events and how that all tied in to my business plans.
