A Great Cause For Making Business Fashionable

If you are a regular reader of my blog you must have noticed how I always encourage women to start a business that will showcase their talents or skills and something which they truly love to do.

After all, if you want a successful and profitable business you need to enjoy every moment of what you’re doing, as only then will you truly get the results you want.

I often tell my coaching clients to think about what they love to do, and what they do naturally that their friends tell them they’re really good at. Without a doubt, the favorite past time of most women I know is shopping and these days shopping online!

It’s like a stress reliever and a hassle-free thing to do since you don’t have to go anywhere crowded to shop. So it makes plain business sense to sell those items coveted by women such as shoes, bags and designer clothing.

But how do you take that a step further so that what you do is not only unique, but making an impact with every purchase your clients make?

Let me share here with you a very inspiring business endeavor of one amazing lady, Nicole Lombardo, who is the founder of Lusso Bags. What’s interesting about her business is that she’s not only selling lovely Lusso travel bags and accessories; she’s also doing it for a good cause too.

Shop to Stop Human Trafficking

It’s an alarming fact that human trafficking is still prevalent in many countries. This fact made Lusso Bags founder, Nicole Lombardo comes up with a plan to play her part in helping the victims of human trafficking worldwide. She sells functional and fashionable travel bags, sachets and gifts, while at the same time aiding a social cause she is most passionate about.

Lusso Bags is a socially-conscious company that manufactures high-quality fabric bags that aim to help travelers organize their stuff while helping improve the lives of both women and children all over the world.

When I asked Nicole why she decided to start this business and give it an ethical purpose too, she replied “If we were going to make a product, why not help others in the process as well as raise awareness for human trafficking?”

What’s great about Lusso Bags is that it shows how a company can both be profitable and profit others as a business. For example, the company’s signature bag ‘Mrs. Bird’ is manufactured by women from India who were previous victims of the sex trade.

Indian women sew the bags at Freeset, a social enterprise, which offers work skills and basic educational training, plus a very decent kind of employment that lets these women abandon the sex trade all together.

Lusso Bags is devoted to raising awareness about human trafficking and fulfills this commitment by giving a 5% sales donation for every bag sold. This also includes profit from Lusso’s mens and baby lines which are manufactured in the USA.

Thanks to Lusso Bags, clients and travelers like me and you are given the chance to buy something with a purpose.

Make sure you check out Lusso Bags and play your part in supporting an ambitious entrepreneur with a big heart.
