[TSE 29] How To Build A Remarkable Business Empire In A Conformist World With Chris Guillebeau

I am really not sure Chris Guillebeau needs any introduction here, or anywhere on this planet.

This is the man who has traveled to almost every country in the world, while writing one of the most popular blogs online – The Art of Non Conformity, publishing a best-selling book of the same name, and recently publishing another, The $100 Startup: Reinvent the Way You Make a Living, Do What You Love, and Create a New Future

Just in case you thought he wasn’t doing enough for us rebels, digital nomads, artists, authors, bloggers and travelers, he decided to found the World Domination Summit in 2011. I have written many insights from this summit.

This is a weekend like no other, where people from around the world gather to find out How to live a remarkable life in a confomist world, and have it sellout two years in a row in a matter of minutes.

Throughout it all, Chris remains incredibly humble, and committed to being a writer, traveler and helping people take over the world.

He is generous with his time and energy, and gives thousands of interviews every year. In fact this post Can you achieve world domination and live the life you want on my blog is still one of the most popular.

In amongst all this, Chris is the inspiration behind my $100 Change initiative – after he gave 1,000 attendees $100 to start something special at the recent World Domination Summit.

He has a wealth of information, insight and advice to share on starting a business that matters, leading a remarkable life and building a digital empire that started with a vision, a blog and a desire to good.

I have been following the both of you for some time now, real treat to listen to this interview:) Natalie, Chris, you are both consistently generous in sharing the knowledge you gain from your life experiences, this has tremendously inspired me to do what I am doing. I couldn’t help but smile at some point during this interview…Asking is something I still struggle with:) I am working on it!

Oh that is truly wonderful to hear Antonia. Could you hear us smiling through the interview too. There are so many nuggets of wisdom Chris shares. I look forward to seeing you put them into action too.

    Howdy Natalie,

This was an excellent interview, and it’s funny because I’m like Chris when it comes to creating products. I resonate more with the digital storefront approach, although I do like blending the two approaches.

So you can have a digital storefront, but you have “flagship” offers in your storefront that are more complete solutions, instead of just having bits and pieces. Hope that makes sense.

Great point Henri (and welcome by the way!). There are no hard and fast rules about how you build your online empire, people disprove theories every day. So long as you have a story, you have a vision and you do it from a place of adding value to others – you can’t go wrong

Thanks for another great interview! I’m so inspired by both you and Chris, and I’m going to the WDS next year as part of my commitment and investment in myself and my business. I love hearing that others are successful at blending a lot of interests into one business, and the discussion of to niche or not to niche gave me a lot of food for thought as I develop my brand.
