The White Hot Truth Interview with Danielle LaPorte

Posted on 25. Apr, 2010 by in Featured, Interviews

Danielle LaPorte is a bold statement of truth in everyway.

When she enters a room she does so with intent and impact. You can expect complete honesty from this Fire Starter, which is a fantastic quality in anyone, and you’ll find it on her site White Hot Truth.

Writer, Speaker, Designer, Strategic and Intuitive Business Advisor and commentator on the CBC Show, nothing stands in the way of this lady.

Danielle has just launched `The Fire Starter Sessions: a digital book for entrepreneurs’ which I’m going to get my hot little hands on and devour.

Danielle has inspired hundreds of entrepreneurs through her Fire Starter programs and beyond and I can’t do justice to her brilliance. Luckily she can, as she states on her site:

I’m interested in liberating truth, raw reality, and grace. I think feminine power and progressive commerce will revolutionize how we live. In my experience, if you steer clear of dogma and muster up more love than you thought you had to give, then your vitality increases, satisfaction sets in, sweetness surfaces. I believe in the creative power of good feelings. I’m convinced that the desire to be real is everyone’s divine imperative. Yeah!”

Below is my video interview with Danielle back on a rainy day and I encourage you to watch it and feel liberated, and a few follow up questions for those who prefer the written word. Enjoy

WomanzWorld: What gets you up in the morning?

Danielle LaPorte: My six year old boy saying, “It’s time to get up Mama!” And, a deep sense that life is lovely, even when it’s not, and there’s so much that I want to make and know and feel and give.

What’s your passion?

Evoking the truth. That’s it. That’s everything.

What are the 3 White Hot Truths readers of your new book will be illuminated by?

That “the easy way” not only attainable, it’s revolutionary. Grace and ease and letting the good stuff flow allows you to be phenomenally productive, peaceful, prosperous. Intensity and discipline are always essential but I’m talking about not fighting with your true nature and leveraging the momentum of that.

That learning to say “no thank you,” will make you a better entrepreneur.

That it’s better to have a simple, authentic dream that lights you up, than a big fake dream that makes you anxious.

What’s your key piece of advice to aspiring entrepreneurs?

You have most of the answers.

That’s fantastic – an interview on entrepreneurship at Prado, the part-time office of many entrepreneurs in the area! The notion that “creative sovereignty is bliss” will be the mantra for many more of us as time goes on and it’s really exciting.

Thanks for your comment Dave. Aren’t all the best ideas created in great locations during animated conversation, brainstorming or just hot coffee? :)

Neat interview. Really enjoyed Danielle’s feedback on writing a book and the creative process not being a vacuum – that’s a hard lesson for many of us to learn.
