6th Annual Women of Worth (WOW) Event Hits Vancouver in May 2010

wowlogo Our social networks were all a twitter with chatter about the 6th annual Women of Worth (WOW) Conference, that was taking place on October 24th in Vancouver. It’s now happening in May 2010. (See Christine’s personal note at the end).

Founded by Vancouver entrepreneur Christine Awram, the WOW conferences are held once a year in Vancouver, Calgary and Kelowna.

These super cool one-day events celebrate female leadership and feature a range of speakers and workshops designed to feed the health, wealth, mind, body, mind and soul of women entrepreneurs.

One of the Vancouver workshops that totally piqued my interest is the “Women’s Leadership Prosperity Panel,” a live conversation about the secrets to success with three highly successful women who are living a life they love, including:

Kate Ross LeBlanc, a successful entrepreneur, wife, mother and tri-athlete. Kathy is the Co-Founder of the 18-location Saje Natural Wellness retail chain and was recently voted one of Chatelaine’s Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Cathy Demers, the Past President and CEO of the publicly-traded hi-tech company Electronic Arts, a recipient of the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur Award and Business In Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40 Award.

Attend the Vancouver WOW event and you can expect to to rub shoulders and glean inspiration and ideas from some pretty amazing female entrepreneurs.

“WOW has been so empowering and life-changing for women that I have pushed myself beyond all reasonable logic and limits to work through the challenges and keep this event moving forward on the scheduled date.
For reasons that are not yet fully apparent, it is not meant to be. I have done everything humanly possible, and it is with a heavy heart that I’ve made this very difficult decision to reschedule.

I believe in my heart that this must be happening for a higher purpose, and that something even more powerful will be created in 2010.”
