The Big Business Book Giveaway Cos They Don’t Fit In My Suitcase

In just 5 days time I’ll be boarding a flight to Auckland, New Zealand after 5.5 years away from my homeland. That in itself is exciting beyond words.

But I have just one problem.

I seem to have accumulated a shit load of great business books and I just can’t take them all home. Since I now have the most well travelled new iPad in the world and books to read on my Kindle I simply do not need to cart these heavy around when you could be enjoying them instead.

So I’m giving some of them away. A few are brand new that I purchased and haven’t even read! Others I’ve devoured but they still look spankin’ hot and others were gifts that I’ve enjoyed and want to pass on.

Either way if you’re not fussy and want to receive one of these books absolutely free just make sure you leave a comment below as to the book you want and why. Oh plus you have to tweet this post in order to be eligible to win – pretty simple (and I will be checking my Twitter stream).

I’ll be announcing the 5 winners on Thursday 4th of August so I can post them before I leave. Let’s get cracking.

The Hot Selection of Business Books

The Retail Doctor’s Guide to Growing Your Business: A Step-by-Step Approach to Quickly Diagnose, Treat, and Cure

If you’re an entrepreneur in the retail industry, it’s likely you know how important it is to gain sales, but most do not know what it really takes or how to do it. So luckily for us we have Bob Phipps to tell us how. He kindly sent me this book to review and I want to share it with you.

Bob Phibbs is one of the top retail experts in the country and in this book he gets back to basics and provides a helpful guide for entrepreneurs determined to position themselves for the next big upswing. He leads you on a journey that describes, analyzes, and provides real world examples of how to really affect change with your business.

The NOW Revolution: 7 Shifts to Make Your Business Faster, Smarter and More Social

I was one of just a select group of bloggers who won two copies of this awesome book from one of my fave bloggers Amber Naslund and Jay Baer when they launched it earlier in the year. In return I aimed to give it a great review. They sent the books all the way to Argentina and I brought them all the way back to tell you this is a must read.

Customers aren’t going to wait for your next polished press release to decide if they like you and your products or services. Instead, they’re choosing between you and your competition every second of every day—and talking about it online. This book will show you how you must retool your organization to make real-time business work for you rather than against you and make your company faster, smarter, and more social

Show Me the Money: Run Your Business Like a Prosperous Investor

Chia-Li Chien is one of the most organized women I know. When she and I connected last year she show me her incredibly colour coordinated marketing and business planning calendar – I was beyond impressed. Then she sent me her book whose title I love! Jerry Maguire fans in the house?

Imagine you’ve successfully started your own business and have created a comfortable lifestyle. What’s next? How do you get to the next level? This book shows you how to strategically innovate your business foundation, position your company to get the value you deserve and get a return on investment for the years of sweat equity and stress you’ve faced.

See Jane Collaborate: Your Essential Guide to Joyful and Prosperous Business Partnerships

I got to meet Michele at Shine last year, promptly bought her two books and asked her to be an expert on how to create profitable joint ventures and strategic alliances in my Passport to Business Freedom Program. Luckily she agreed, and this book helped me build the foundations for launching that very joint venture.

If you are thinking about expanding your business, taking on a partner and want to know the nuts and bolts of making this a relationship that will be prosperous and harmonious, then you need to read this. This book takes you through whether you’re being realistic in your expectations about your potential partner, a checklist of what to discuss and do, right through to ending it on the right foot.

See Jane Succeed: Five Types of Female Entrepreneurs Reveal What it Takes to Win in Business and Life

What’s unique about this book is that you probably didn’t know you are one of five types of women entrepreneurs. Michele offers action guides customized to your unique type, and reassurance that any problem keeping you up at night is not yours alone. It’s written by a business woman for business women – as in this book is written in your language girlfriend!

This book brings you the keys to success – wisdom for being more profitable, love for your life and your business and the answers to your most burning questions about yourself as a business owner.

Pretty hot line up right? Are you excited? Want to get your hands on one of these? Great.

The “slightly” grand giveaway just needs you to do the following:

  1. Leave a comment below on which book you’d like and why.
  2. Hit share – retweet or share to Facebook or Linkedin (I have ways of finding you).
Then come back and visit on Thursday to find out if you won – although I might get to you first to ask for your address.

    Hi Natalie,

The Retail Doctor’s Guide to Growing Your Business: A Step-by-Step Approach to Quickly Diagnose, Treat, and Cure interests me the most. I have a new friend who is 10 months into her new athletic wear retail store and I would love to give it to her.

@LesleyMachan That’s a great reason and very generous of you Lesley. Thanks for commenting

    Thanks Natalie

Well what a great idea and something I can do too when I finally move on from NZ! If I win one book maybe you will find space in your suitcase for me and can deliver in person?

I’ve been wanting to read The NOW Revolution: 7 Shifts to Make Your Business Faster, Smarter and More Social since I discovered Jay Baer on the Facebook Success Summit 2010. He gave one of the best talks in my opinion about how to engage people on your Facebook page and have a clear strategy for building your online community.

But all the books look awesome and being a woman entrepreneur, who has taken part in your Passport to Business Freedom I’d be keen to get a copy of either Michele’s “See Jane …” books. I am ready for action – give me the guidance to be more profitable and then I’ll be ready for “Show Me the Money” book lol!

    Love the @Virtual Assistant Goddess

Hi Natalie – Just found your site via Jonathan Fields blog. I recently left my NYC corporate job in entertainment to pursue my dream and now live in Australia getting ready to launch my new Yoga business. I’ve been searching for mentors that are women who are able to balance their entrepreneurial drive with relationships and family at the same time. I’d love to read “See Jane Succeed…”(Also, I live in the countryside so there are no major bookstores and I miss the luxury of browsing Barns and Noble Small Business section for inspiration, motivation and ideas.) Thanks for considering me!
    Best,
    Tamara

@Tamara That’s such an awesome story Tamara and so glad you found me through Jonathan – such an awesome guy. NYC to the Australian countryside that’s quite the shift! Looking forward to seeing you around on here. Congrats on pursuing your dreams.

Nice! I would like to read Jane Collaborate: “Your Essential Guide to Joyful and Prosperous Business Partnerships” because I feel that now is the time for me to team up and join strong partnerships to move forward in my business – and I enjoyed Jane’s video material in your Passport to Business Freedom Program.

    Hi Natalie,

I would love to read “See Jane Succeed: Five Types of Female Entrepreneurs Reveal What it Takes to Win in Business and Life.” I am a voracious reader trying to learn as much as I can before I start my own business. I think that the information in “See Jane Succeed” would be extremely helpful for me. I have friends who are thinking of starting their own businesses as well and would happily pass on the book to them after I have finished reading it.

Best of Luck in New Zealand!

  • Laureen

What a great offer! Thanks :-)

I own a small commercial art gallery near Canada’s Grasslands National Park, a summer-season-only wilderness park. Grasslands Gallery (http://www.grasslandsgallery.com) is in its season, and things are growing. In July this year, for example, sales were higher than all of last summer out together. Yay! But the business is still a startup, and the information I can gain from the book could help me do even better.

    Look forward to the results.

    Laureen

  • NatalieSisson

@Laureen Great comments everyone. It’s so inspiring to read and it’s going to be a tough choice. Laureen which book are you referring to in your comment? Thanks!

  • Laureen

Oh how embarrassing! I edited the comment and edited myself out of making sense. This is what I tried to say:

“I own a small commercial art gallery near Canada’s Grasslands National Park, a summer-season-only wilderness park. Grasslands Gallery (http://www.grasslandsgallery.com) is in its second season and things are growing. But the business is still a start up, and the information I can gain from The Retail Doctor’s Guide to Growing Your Business could help me do even better.”

Natalie, thanks for a second chance!
